Qué es el PAO

What is the PAO?

The Period After Opening (PAO) symbol is an important indicator para cosmetic productos, including geles para uñas. It tells you how long the producto will remain seguro y effective after you’ve opened it. The PAO is typically shown as an open jar icon con a number y the letter ‘M’ (e.g., 24M), which stands para the number of months the producto can be used after opening.

What is PAO?

For example, if a gel para uñas has a PAO of 24M, it means the producto should be used within 24 months of opening to ensure its quality y seguridad. This is crucial because, over time, exposure to air, light, y bacteria can degrade the producto, making it less effective y potentially harmful.

What is PAO?

At Pretty Yeppuda, we take producto quality y seguridad seriously. All our geles para uñas have been tested para stability.  This is a requirement mentioned in the Cosmetic Producto Regulation (EC 1223/2009). This regulation ensures that cosmetics sold in the UE are seguro para use.

It’s important to store your geles para uñas properly to maximize their shelf life. Keep them in a cool, dry place y always close the lid tightly after use. Following these tips will help you get the most out of your productos.

So in conclusion: the production date indicated on the botella is not of primary importance. In accordance con the Cosmetic Producto Regulation (EC 1223/2009), if a cosmetic producto is stable para more than 30 months, the Period After Opening (PAO) is indicated instead. For geles para uñas, the typical PAO is 24 months, unless specified otherwise. At Pretty Yeppuda, our geles have been stability tested in line con the CPR to ensure optimal producto quality y seguridad, y the mandatory etiqueta contains the PAO information.
