Gel Syrup
Korean Syrup Gels – Sheer, Jelly & Nudi Finishes
Discover Korean syrup gels for soft, translucent colour with a natural “jelly” or “nude syrup” effect. These sheer, buildable gels are ideal for gradients, glass nails, milk-bath looks and subtle MLBB (your-nails-but-better) manicures.
In the market, syrup gels are sometimes described as jelly gels or nudi gels (especially for nude tones). All three terms refer to semi-sheer, buildable gels that allow the nail or underlying design to remain slightly visible, with differences mainly in colour range and branding.
- Sheer, buildable syrup gels for soft coverage
- Jelly-style translucent colours and nudi nude tones
- Perfect for gradients, glass nails and layered nail art

What are syrup gels?
Syrup gels are semi-sheer, self-levelling colour gels that can be built up in thin layers. One coat gives a very soft tint; additional coats increase depth while keeping a translucent, glossy finish. This makes syrup gels ideal for natural-looking manicures and layered effects.
Are nudi gels and jelly gels the same as syrup gels?
In practice, nudi gels are usually nude-toned syrup or jelly gels marketed for natural, skin-like shades. Jelly gels is a more general term for translucent, glass-like colour gels. Syrup, nudi and jelly gels all share a sheer, buildable, translucent finish; the differences mainly concern naming, colour focus (nude vs bright) and brand positioning.
When and why use syrup / jelly / nudi gels?
- Natural “your-nails-but-better” looks with nude nudi gels.
- Soft gradients and ombre by layering syrup gels from cuticle to free edge.
- Glass and jelly nails where the free edge remains slightly see-through.
- Layering over glitter or art to create a “blurred” or milk-bath effect.
- French variations with sheer base colours and soft transitions.
How to apply syrup / jelly gels
- Prepare the nail and apply a compatible base gel; cure under a suitable UV/LED lamp.
- Apply a thin, even layer of syrup or jelly gel and cure.
- Repeat in thin layers until the desired sheerness or depth is reached, curing between each layer.
- For gradients, concentrate colour where you want more depth and blend gently before curing.
- Seal with an appropriate top gel (glossy or matte) and cure fully.
What makes syrup gels different from full-coverage colour gels?
Standard colour gels are formulated for full, opaque coverage in one or two coats. Syrup / jelly / nudi gels are intentionally more translucent, so the nail plate or underlying design remains slightly visible. This allows much more control over softness, depth and layering.
FAQ – Syrup / jelly / nudi gels
Can I combine syrup gels with other gel systems?
Yes. They are usually applied over a compatible base or builder gel and
sealed with a top gel from the same system, following the manufacturer’s
curing times.
Are syrup gels suitable for salon work?
Yes. Their self-levelling, buildable formula is widely used in
professional salons for natural manicures, bridal nails and soft trend
looks where harsh opacity is not desired.
Do I need more coats than with normal colour gels?
Typically yes: one coat for a very sheer tint, two to three coats for a
more visible but still translucent effect. This is a design feature of
syrup and jelly gels.
