• Products labeled as "HEMA-Free" aim to provide a safer option for those who are already sensitized to HEMA or wish to minimize their risk of becoming sensitized.

What Does HEMA-Free Not Mean?

• It does not mean allergen-free:
  While the risk of sensitization may be lower, other acrylates in HEMA-free products can still cause sensitization or allergic reactions, especially with improper use or prolonged exposure.

• It does not mean safer for all users:
  Acrylates used in HEMA-free products can still cause irritations, particularly in sensitive individuals. Proper application, curing, and hygiene are crucial to minimizing risks.

• It does not guarantee long-term protection against allergies:
  Even with HEMA-free products, overexposure to acrylates (through skin contact, improper curing, or uncured gel) can lead to sensitization over time.

• It does not mean entirely chemical-free:
  "HEMA-Free" refers specifically to the absence of HEMA but does not imply the product lacks other chemicals. Gel nail products are formulated with a range of monomers and additives that ensure functionality but require proper handling.
